Read On Summer Tutoring

What is the Read On program?

Read On is a free summer tutoring program designed to help children improve their literacy skills in English and/or French. Tutoring sessions can also be designed to incorporate math in addition to literacy upon request.

Our tutors are university students with a special interest in education. This program is offered at both the Main Branch (173 Colborne St.) and the St. Paul Branch (441 St. Paul Ave.).

Is my child eligible?

Children entering grades 2 to 6 in September 2025 are eligible for this program. All tutors have experience working with children and receive training before the program begins. Please note, this program is not designed (nor are the tutors qualified) to teach children with special needs.

How do I register my child?

Online registration will open Saturday May 31st, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. and is first come, first served. If you need assistance with registration, please visit the Library or call the Read On Leader at 519-756-2220 x. 3336.
