Hill, George Leonard

Pte. George Leonard Hill, son of Mr. John W. Hill and the late Mrs. Hill, Cainsville, was killed in France on August 22, 1944. Born on March 3, 1911, on the Six Nations Reserve, Pte. Hill was a member of the Seneca Tribe. He had attended school on the Reserve, and later was employed at the Canada Glue Company. Two other members of his family, Pte. Elias Hill and Pte. John Hill served in the Canadian Army during the Second Great War. He had many friends in the community in which he lived and his death was deeply regretted by them. Besides his father and two brothers, he is also survived by two sisters,

Catherine and Lena.
