Elkington, Clarence Scott

F/S Clarence Scott Elkington, son of Mrs. Agnes Elkington and brother of Joan, 241 Darling St., lost his life on August 25, 1942, in the air action over Belgium and was later buried at St. Trond. The young flyer had been overseas since September 1941, after training in the R.C.A.F. from November 14, 1940, at Toronto, Moncton, N.B., London, Ont., and graduating as a pilot from No. 5 S.F.T.S., Brantford. Born in St. Catharines in 1918, he moved here when 13 years of age and completed his primary education at the

Cainsville School, going on to the Brantford Collegiate Institute and Vocational School, from which he received his matriculation diploma. He was interested in the general activities of the school and the Y.M.C.A. He was a member of the Zion United Church. After schooldays, he joined the office staff of the H. M. Clubine and Company, Ltd.
