Webb, Roger John

F/O Roger John Webb was fated to follow the same path of service as his father, who gave his life in the First Great War. Reported missing after a raid on Karlsruhe on February 2, 1945, F/O Webb, who was the navigator of his R.C.A.F. crew, lost his life when the plane crashed at Karlsdorf, about 12 ? miles northeast of the target for that night. F/O Webb enlisted in the R.C.A.F., on September 3, 1942, receiving his navigator's wings and commission at Malton on October 28, 1943. He went overseas soon afterwards. Born in Brantford on November 13, 1916, he attended Dufferin School and the Collegiate Institute and Vocational School graduating in 1937. His family then moved to Toronto. His mother is Mrs. Mary Webb and he is also survived by his widow and a son.
