John, David Elliott

Rfn. David Elliott John, son of Mrs. Emma John, R.R. 2, Ohsweken, was lost to his family when his death occurred in England on October 1, 1944. He was wounded in action and returned to an English hospital. He served almost five years overseas in the Canadian Army. At the end of October, he would have been 32 years of age. Rfn. John was of the Onondaga tribe and had been educated on the Six Nations Reservation.
