Hudson, William Alfred

Pte. William Alfred Hudson went overseas June, 1942 and saw action in North Africa, Sicily and Italy before he was killed December 29, 1943, at Cemetery Hill, near Ortona. Born in Brantford, May 19, 1922, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hudson, Paris, he enlisted with the 1st Battalion, Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles, in June, 1940, and was transferred to the 48th Highlanders which regiment he was with at the time of his death. Alfred was educated in Brantford being a graduate of Brantford Collegiate Institute. He is buried in Moro River Cemetery. His father is a veteran of the war of 1914-18.
