Prine, William B.
Pte. William B. Prine enlisted with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, April, 1940, went overseas, and was with this regiment on August 19, 1942, the day they fought so bravely on the beaches of Dieppe; and there he was killed. "Billy" was born October 19, 1917, in Elora, Ontario, but spent his boyhood in Paris and attended Paris schools. His mother is Mrs. Mary Prine Walker, Toronto, and his two brothers, Robert, Paris and Melvin, Toronto, were both members of the armed forces. Pte. Prine is buried in Des Vertus cemetery, Hautot-sur-Mer, France.
