Woodley, Norman Sanderson

LAC Norman Sanderson Woodley was just about to complete his training as a pilot in the R.C.A.F., when he lost his life in an accident at Weyburn, Sask., on May 11, 1944. The son of Cpl. G. K. Woodley, No. 5 S.F.T.S., and Mrs. Woodley, R.R. 2, Brantford, Norman was born in Townsend Township, February 13, 1925. He attended Grove Union and Mount Pleasant Schools and matriculated from the Brantford Collegiate Institute. He enlisted in the Air Force in December, 1942, as soon as he was old enough, and trained at Victoriaville, Que., and Stanley, N.S., before going to Weyburn. He was brought home to Brantford and buried with full Air Force honors in Farringdon Burial Ground.
