Your History
The Brantford Public Library has a physical and digital local history collection that contains images, maps, information and documents pertaining to the history of the City of Brantford and area.
Temporary Access Update – Local History Resources
As part of our website migration to a new platform, the following local history resources are temporarily unavailable online:
• War Memorial Search
• Brantford Expositor Birth, Marriage and Death Notice Index
If you are looking for information normally accessed through these resources, Library staff can still assist with research requests during this transition.
Please submit your request to the Local History Committee by email to localhistory@brantfordlibrary.ca and staff will be happy to help. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our website services.
Digital Archives
Our Digital Archives includes a wealth of digitized books, biographies, newspapers, school yearbooks and pictorial histories. In addition, the Archives offer an incredible selection of historical photographs. Discover the people, places and events that make our community unique.
Genealogy Resources
Use your Library card to access Ancestry.com for free (must be in Library), or view other genealogy links.
