cloudLibrary Service Ending

On August 31, the cloudLibrary eBook and Audiobook service will no longer be offered to our members.

You will continue to have access to titles you have borrowed through cloudLibrary until you return the item or the loan period expires.

Content from cloudLibrary will be moved to OverDrive in the coming days. However, your holds will not be transferred over. It's best if you make note of any items you have on hold in cloudLibrary and check the OverDrive (Libby app) platform.

OverDrive and its Libby app will remain the main source for eBooks and Audiobooks after this date.

By focusing on one main platform for eBooks and Audiobooks, we will be able to better monitor customer demand and make it easier for customers to find and borrow digital content. Over the past year, the OverDrive and Libby app had five-times more use than the cloudLibrary service. Additionally, the cost the library was paying per borrow was also nearly double on the cloudLibrary platform, compared to the OverDrive/Libby platform.

The OverDrive service - along with its Libby app - make it easy to find, download and read or listen to digital eBooks and Audiobooks. The service also has thousands of magazines that can be borrowed on an on-demand basis.

You can borrow materials through OverDrive and its Libby app today.

Call or visit the library if you have questions. Our staff will be happy to help you get started with the OverDrive service and Libby app. You can also watch this short video tutorial for information on how to use OverDrive and the Libby app.

Note, our Hoopla service and Tumblebooks service, which offers content for kids and young adults, will continue to offer eBooks and Audiobooks.

Pease also check our online catalogue to see what items we also have available in print.

If we don't have a specific item, it could be requested from another library (physical items only) or you can request the library to purchase the item

We apologize for any inconvenience or the possibility that some items may not be available once the cloudLibrary service is discontinued.
